Athens Women vs. Spartan Women!

1. What i think about the roles that women of Athens is that what they categorized them in classes and when they were categorized they had restrictions on were they could be and were they could go. Another restriction i think was unfair was that Spartan women were married at age eighteen but didn't have a say which basically in a weird way that was better if they had no say in who they married. With women in Athens who were in the lower class or any class women they're fathers chose who they married but it wouldn't be a rich husband if the women was poor. Spartan women married at the age of eighteen because th Spartans' thought that if they marry at that age will mean stronger healthier babies and that women are emotionally stronger if they're young and married. But most of all women in Sparta had more chances to go out and had a lot of power and in comparison to women in Athens which they couldn't even leave the house if they were lower class and they couldn't enter any place at all.

2. I think that there were no gender equality because men around the world didn't believe in making unreasonable and responsible decisions. Many people might say it is because of the story of Adam and Eve and how because she didn't listen to Adam when he told her not to eat the forbidden fruit in which she did and thats when people think that gender equality wasn't applied. What i think is that men never trusted women making unreasonable and responsible choices which still goes on today.

3.
How i think women in ancient greece was the naked women paintings over women paintings with there clothing on have two totally different aspects. No one has come to think why they either painted the women naked or with clothes. What i come to think the artist painted them a certain way is to put meaning to them. I think that artist who painted the women who are wearing clothes are actually supposed to resemble the poor women. It might seem that the women are wearing pretty nice clothes but to me it might resemble the poorness and the work that they are supposed to do. I think the artist who draws or sculpts women naked would resemble the beauty and how wealthy they were and how many things they were able to do.
